Brenda Walker Honored with BEE Award

Brenda Walker Honored with BEE Award

Congratulations to Brenda Walker, PCA/Unit Secretary, 6 South, ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ Regional Medical Center, for being named the most recent recipient of The BEE Award.

Walker was nominated by a patient touched by her compassion, who wrote:

“I had nothing but the strings on my shoes. I had already walked the soles off. Ms. Brenda went out of her way to get me a pair of shoes. I want to thank Brenda, and all of the staff at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ, for making it possible not to leave barefooted. God bless you all.”

BEE stands for Being Exceptional Everyday. This award recognizes extraordinary service from our non-nursing staff. Any employee from any department (except RNs) can be nominated for the BEE Award. RNs are recognized for exceptional service with The DAISY Award.

BEE Award nominations will be accepted from patients, patients’ family members, physicians, ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ employees and volunteers. If you’ve experienced or witnessed extraordinary service from a ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ team member, then nominate that person for the BEE Award.

Clear display boxes, which include printed nomination forms, are located throughout ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ hospitals for both the BEE Award and The DAISY Award. Click here to use the electronic form
